its not real

jesus, it looks real to me, although there is a bit of time lag between the wave breaking and him surfing out on the white water.
but it looks real, if it's a fake they did a good job..................

We all know that you frequent just about any and every surf related chat forum going (makes one wonder how and when you ever do any work) and like to make out you are the bees knees and 'knower of all things', but being a bit more gracious wouldn't go amiss once in a while!!

I dont think its rude, just funny and to the point. I thought it was awsome the first time I saw that clip too seen it on here a few times on here and yeah its a fake apparently.

And so have most threads about new boards, what wetsuit to buy, newbie advice, etc, etc, etc

Perhaps PW should take it on himself to ridicule each of those posts too ...... ??

Some of you need to remember what it was like to be new on forums rather than acting like some sort of self appointed mafia, because it doesn't give a good impression.

If you had nothing to add, then better to say nothing, rather than have a go at someone for making what was a perfectly innocent post??

Ridicule in my mind would be " you fleshin' idiot, its a fake which has been posted loads of times!! what kind of moron are you??!" Which would have been uncalled for. Nah it was more of a mild joke which gets pulled out occaisionally. Personally I would have preferred a cat pic one

Yep, they showed it on the Discovery Channel show Mythbusters, where they summarily tested it and busted it, because the amount of explosive needed to create a surfable wave, would kill you with it's concussive force before you could even start paddling for the wave.

Hehe dont worry about it, I was kidding. Its been on here a few times, my bubble was already burst.

Ok to settle it. The wave and the surfer are real. I believe it was at Mavs, but the whole hurricane thing isn't. I mean how can there be offshore winds in a hurricane?!
