Hey, ive got a few surf trips planned in this winter. However, i cant wear a hood as i have thick, long dreadlocks. Any other ways i can keep my face a bit warmer?

Have you tried one of the cap type hoods? it would allow your dreads to fall outside of your wetsuit.... you'd get mental hat hair though

Don't go in the water??

Wrap your face in cling film smothered in Tiger Balm??

Seriously - get a bigger hood or cut your hair ........... :?

This hood might work for you: http://www.oneill.com/mens-products.php?sport=surf&categoryID=1&typeID=4&seriesID=7&id=99

It's called the OZone Hood and is loose, light weight, fabric hood. I like mine a lot and am thinking the loose fit may allow your hair to fit inside and out the bottom. I found them on display at the big Oneill Shop in Santa Cruz, near the 41st Street surfing parking lot. The sizes indicted by the tags didn't seem consistent so you may want to try these hoods on to find one that works for you. Although I wanted the bright blue color shown in the web link above, they only had them in a light aqua color. It turned out OK because I cant see the color when using it!

The bill can be flipped up and down or easily removed (but, reattaching requires sewing).

to me it is summer right now, I live in the southern hemisphere, and I am geussing he lives in the southern hemisphere too, but don't worry, I wear a 3:2 in the winter, and the water is really cold here.

That looks snuggly warm. That suit > hood + wetsuit + glove + boot.
