Surfing Waves

Hi guys,
I'm from Belgium and studying in Bournemouth... and i always go surfing there.
But i was thinking about taking some weekend-trips to explore some new places to surf at.
What would be a good new place to surf for an intermediate surfer? I've got a car so distance isn't a problem... altough not all too far please.

From B'muff your in reach of various locations on the west coast.
South Wales
North Devon
Cornwall

All have their pros/cons as anywhere does and depend upon the conditions! If you travel to the areas the obvious places you will find on a map are the best for skill level.

eg:

South Wales
Llangenith

N. Devon
Woolacombe main beach
Puttsbourough

Cornwall:
Polzeath
Perrenporth

There are many many options and exploring is the most rewarding way of finding them so have fun!

What i`ve done in the past is to buy an os map of the coast line i want to check out, and spend a flat day walking the coast path. Making notes of spots that look good and going back on a good day. With luck you could find a gem, Happy hunting.

Oh, I dunno, I thought 'Kimmeridge' was a good answer...

Bournemouth is, frankly, a bit rubbish but as well as all the spots listed by PapaW, there's several spots (some secret, some less so) around Kimmeridge which is very close to you.
K-bay has got a couple of reef breaks, and also a beachy into the bay itself. Its not as consistent as Devon and Cornwall, but will usually be picking up a good deal more swell than Bournemouth.
