so i broke my left pinky finger skating, its not terribly bad, in between the fisrt and secon nuckle. it happened about 2 and a half weeks ago and its suppose to be healed in 4 weeks. im gonna go surfing on friday, and i was just wondering if anyone had any strategic advise on surfing with a broken finger. haha its a pretty dumb question, i think im just gonna wear a splint in the water and use my palm to pop up. but yeah if youve ever done this let me know!

Busted mine surfing a few years ago. What I did was to wear wetsuit gloves and use duck tape to tape my fingers together. Hurt like hell, but was still able to paddle into some waves.

I broke my finger a few years ago, and didn't even know it and went surfing and windsurfing with it. Hurts a bit, but it's not too bad. Funnily enough I can't straighten that finger though!

I broke a finger many years ago, before I started surfing, but I guess like the others said, paddling out would hurt the most. At the time I was a competitive swimmer and just taped the fingers together and swam like that, wasn't too painful though.

you can use a palm pad, it's suppose to be for the learner surfers who doesnt paddle very well, but it should work if you got a broken finger...
