Looks great!

What are the limiting factors on what kind of graphic design you have on your board?

Whether or not i think i can do it successfully. Still trying new stuff. I don't consider myself much of an artist so at the moment free hand art work is an unkown for me presently.

I mean, what kind of medium do you work in? Is the design sprayed (stenciled) on? Could you potnetially paint free-hand with spray paint? Bear with me here, I know nowt about this stuff.

Sorry mis understood the question.

Various types. The underside of the board is what's known as a resin swirl and is a result of using coloured pigments in the resin to produce patterns, somewhat randomly sometimes.
Straight colours can be added either with the airbrush prior to laminating or again by using just one resin pigment colour in the lamination process.
Hand paint can be used to both before and after glassing. Before lamibnating they need to be water based and after they need to be eaither waterproof or covered in a clear laquer.

Cool, so you could potentially do anything.

In the not too distant future I might have a board shaped, something longer, and thought it would be cool to paint my own board!

By the way, I love the job on your boards, I especially love Pault's, they're all stylishly simple 8) . I wasn't sure if I liked the resin swell, but it is kinda cool, reminds me of tie dye!

Well i wouldn't like to go on about a forthcoming trip to costa rica, but......i hear it can be quite nice down pavonnes way in may june time!
I'm setting myself a bit of a shaping challenge with the fishes Ben. I've decided not to maka the 12ft paddle board now but instead see if i can get 2 fishes out of it. 1 quad and 1 twinnie! Watch this space.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! I'm so excited!! I seriously think I just soiled something when I read that. :D

I will be checking this space every 6.5 minutes.

And Pavones sounds like a good idea. After 2 weeks I think we will have it dialed.

AND

what do you think of a 7 day trip across the Nicoya peninsula, checking out all the spots between Tamarindo and MalPais? been thinking of doing a small surf tour. Maybe will pm you the idea, see what you think.
