probably the same as above (haven't read all of them)

I either put it in my leash (if you don't have a pocket in it, you could buy a leash with a key pocket) or in my wetsuit (there's a small key pocket in the back near to the zip in the middle). I think most wetsuits have them.

I've seen people put keys on their wheels  or hide them in the sand dunes (and then not find them again!) Luckily I have an old car without this fancy electronic stuff to worry about!

My car came with a spare non electronic key, so I lock the gizmo one in the car. Then just tie the regular manual key round my neck. Before the missus reminded me of the spare key, I used to bury mine in the sand or under a rock. Found a few nasty dog poos that way too.

I use a key safe. lock it under the car on the bar where you jack the car up if you have a flat.

Yeah I used to do this and quickly turn the alarm off when I opened the door. Then I got a new leash with a pocket.

Then I got a new car and got an aqua pac which I'd recomend if you have a "beep-beep button".

Automotive locksmith to make a range of services, such as replacing the old locks and the new model of security control, and many other problems with car locks. Sometimes the keys are lost, and the doors open car, taking help of experts. But the problem does not seem to end up here. It is a constant concern that someone could be wrong keys. Chicago locksmith can solve the problem, and you can replace the lost car keys, and change the whole locking system. This will give you the guarantee of a car with a mechanical way. It offers a new security model for your vehicle. There are many Chicago auto locksmiths and you can select any that offers the best services and prices.

The old saying goes that everything in the world, should be included. Good locksmith services are no exception to this. Let's just say that Smith Services, Locksmith Services good, often very cheap.

New to surfing - what do you do with your keys

Postby surfatar » Sun Sep 04, 2011 2:36 am

Hi,

I'm new to surfing, and one small issue has been where to put my keys when I'm in the water. What do you all do for this problem?

put a magnet box with a spare key somewhere under the car and then lock your other keys in the car. Maybe someone else has a better answer.

get a non-electronik key, put all the valuables in the car and stash the key in the pocket of your suit...
if you dont have one (pocket in suit), get an FCS leash, they all have a key pocket...

Most beaches have a hire shop or a shop keeper somewhere... we normally slip our hire shop guys a fiver to look after our keys. Depends which you're more comfortable with - putting your key in a wetsuit (emphasis on the word 'wet') under a car for anyone to get access to, or a random in a shop. It's a tough one!

The best case would be to cut a non-electronic key and attach that to the inside of your wetsuit. Mine have a little loop of chord underneath the armpits to do it with.

The alternative would be getting a waterproof key pouch (I have one), getting a combination lock for your car, or hiding it somewhere/ leaving it with someone. Personally I wouldn't do the latter.
