I'm not taking a board with me. British airways will take your board for free and yes im afraid the shack is closed at the moment.

Do BA still do it for free? I know they did, but there was a thing on the news a few weeks ago where they'd started charging for a second bag (irrespective of weight) and everyone was getting stung (another PR disaster for BA).

Presumably a boardbag would at least count as 'another bag'? :?

I'm surprised there'll be no harmergeddon boards getting introduced to south american breaks
What kind of board do you plan on surfing over there?

No with BA your allowed to take an item of sporting equipment. XS wind recently took a kiteboard out to the states with no charge. I think it has to be under 2.5m so i think phils out of luck.
Did think about taking a board but the BA flights were £200 more than the cheapy's that charge alot for surfboard carriage.
Gonna try lots of boards while im there, all in the name of research so you could say that im actually working  !

Hey kitey,

What would be the chances of getting in the queue for a piece of your craftsmanship?

I was going to get ***** ***** (name removed to avoid shameless plug!) to shape me a little something but I'd much prefer to support an independent guy like yourself.
