so with this contest Gabriel Medina solidifies his lead for the world title but Kelly Slater is creeping up. The WCT title is Gabes to loose at this point it would be difficult for anyone to beat him but no where near impossible. The next couple contests will show who really has a chance.

The waves looked beautiful but many of them seemed slow and lacking power especially the rights early on in the contest. They were saying that lower Tressels used to be a longboard spot but now it was a performance shortboard spot. Interesting.... but it looked like it was difficult to generate speed on some of the waves still a minority of the waves looked fast and powerful.
