Really great video 312T4, seeing the progression is great and lifted my morning seeing the end result. I'm actually trying to get the double paddle thing prior to pop-up at the moment. Also I'm a goofy that does a fair amount of rights, I'm rubbish generating speed, I flop off the top rather than cutting back at the moment. Right I'm off for a surf

I read your proposal for crowd funding, it prompts me to ask several questions.
You are a young movie maker , you have all the gear and paid tickets except a Go Pro.
The proposal is to crowd fund the Go Pro, fair enough.
You are based in Slovenia, so do you surf?
Do you have any idea of what the surf is like in Bali?
Where do you plan to video in Bali?
Your life may depend on your water skills in some spots.
Why not entice us with some videos you have already done.
The whole thing feels like I am going to do a great movie but I forgot my camera.
Sort of the dog ate my homework type proposal.

Well im working in a surf camp where i do video analysis. and of course i surf. i have 100+ surfing days behind me so i think i can manage Bali
i cant share any of my work because all of my shoots went to the surf camp where the main cameraman who is a professional, is making a first long slovenian surf movie.

Thanks for the honest answer, I am sorry your work circumstances did not allow you to share stuff you shot. But that always is a copyright issue. Maybe you could PM me a link to look at your work?

There will certainly be a lot of breaks in Bali that you can surf at that level of experience.
I'll be interested to see which ones you choose!

Duty free may help you buy the Go pro a little cheaper.

Where have you done your 100 + days of surfing! Slovenia doesn't spring to mind as a surfing destination.

Well I googled , came up with Punta Cross near Piran, , but with I imagine with small fetch and difficult conditions you would be dedicated to get those 100 days.

Bali will be a real step up if The Adriatic has been your only experience.

Its not like that. i am happy that my shots will be in the movie because i will be in the credits and it will be a big referral for me
i was in spain for 3 months and in portugal for a month
i havent surfed in slovenia before because the "spot" works like 2 times/year we have medulin in croatia and some other spots which a pretty great. a friend had a 800m long wave in Lošinj

The thing that annoys me rthe most about professional surfers (and anyone skilled at a craft for that matter) is how easy they make it look. When anyone who has actually tried knows how hard it truly is. Just shows how good they REALLY are!

I got in to surfing just when Andy Irons had passed away. Every single video I have seen of him shows he was at a different level to just about everyone out there. I need to dig some videos up now about the Slater/Irons rivalry. I wish I'd been following the sport at the time to have seen some of that.

I wish I could remember the surf movie that I first saw Andy Irons in. I don't remember much about the movie but it was before he was so famous and when I saw him in the movie I blurted out "I know him!" when in reality I had only briefly met him. It was very likely the majority of the rest of the people watching the movie knew him better than me and in fact he may have been there He had a his own style of surfing.
