Looks sweet kitey :D

Gwyn, get a tissue, you're dribbling

So.... someone explain the fin set up to me. I kinda get the four-fin set up (I think), but why are the forward fins swept back, but the tail fins more rounded and chunky? :?

Why not four swept-back 'normal' fins?

(I'm not arguing that they should be different - just want to understand)

As i understand it the pavrl speed dialer set-up goes like this. Retro fishes allways used to come with a twin keel set-up. Very fast skatey and at times damn right difficult to control. The four fin set-up slows the board down a touch and gives more control whilst the two separate fins (front and back) when placed together still have a similar surface area and profile to that of a keel fin. Hence the swept back front fin and the more upright rear fin.
But there is no reason why you can't experiment with al kinds of fin set-ups on a board like this.

Also the lokbox fins slide forward and aft in their boxes allowing you to easily adjust the feel of the board to a degree from loose to more stiff.

Damn Kitey, that’s the bomb!

DBBB, mere tissues could not stem the dribble I'm afraid!

Looks so fookin' cool with the clear speed diallers on it! Gonna be as fast as a spider monkey on acid I should think!

How much did those FCS converter thingies set you back mate? Might have to think about getting me some of them.

So how are we looking for picking it up this weekend?

Looks like there might be a little wave out there this weekend if you fancy trying to catch a few while we're at it?

Do i detect a hint of can't wait to get my board? Your gonna hate me for saying this but seeing as i'll have only just glassed the board it probably would be a good idea to leave it until next week before you surf it, just to give the fibreglass that more time to cure off properly.
But your board should be ready for sunday although i may be just a tad hungover as my bro's having a party saturday night and the Harmergeddon homebrew is coming out.....

I don't know what you mean!!

I guess your right  I was getting a little keen I suppose. I may have to change my plans a bit fir this weekend now. My trucks indicators have gone Pete Tong and if I can't get them working by the weekend I'll be coming down in my GF's Alpha Spider! I know it's a small board but that may be pushing it a little!

Is that nagging i can hear in my inbox today?

Just got a final sand and polish left to do now Gwyn so you can untwist your knickers now. Your new board will be ready for the weekend.
Pinlines are on, leash plug went in last night.
And here are just a couple of sneak preview shots of the board as it stands at the mo, minus the hobgoblin of course....
I might be persuaded to post up some finished pictures once its done later in the week.

I'm not hearing much excitment this morning Gwyn! Especially seeing as there's some photos of the finished board floating around somewhere on the net!

Hmm, what to do? Leave Kitey in peace and let him post some pictures in his own good time?
Or nag him endlessly until he does?!

No contest! SHOW ME THE BOARD OR ELSE I CAN NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY ACTIONS
