hmmmm. i think im gonan head to croyde... its always fun to go camping with friends and we'l have a laugh whatever the waves are like!

Its been held off a day that 2nd system has pulled the 1st back its all going to sit on the UK and make everythign mushy from sat onwards BAH!

ummm... what does that mean.. the 2nd what? i really want to learn how to read the charts and stuff! i have noticed that the predictions are all worse than what they were yesterday, but why? thanks if you can help me understand more!

The orignal swell was generated by a low over west atlantic/ usa coast. this dispated and a 2nd from the north developed and has eaten the 1st.

ok i see what you mean now, it's like over scotland now. ah that sucks, we aint going to see any good surf then?

All this praying and anticipating swell is a big part of surfing. There is nothing like studying the weather charts and having your patience rewarded with a good swell.
If it makes you feel better I have been out surfing for the last 4 days straight in lovely clean offshore surf - check out the rest of the weeks surf where I am ;D

Not over scottland.. just out in the middle of the atlantic!

Have a look at www.magicseaweed.com WAM chart animations for swell, period and wind. Where SUrf patrol has the animation from. Magicsea weed puts it all together in one place to access.

ah ok. the reason i say over scotland is cos on the swell chart on magic seaweed, the blue is like coming down onto it...

Your reading it backwards. :p

Blue = Low hight
Green higher, red big! and so on
