Ouch! I also have a gopro mount on the nose. But I did not land on the gopro. Instead the board flipped over and I landed on my main fin.

It does not look as bad as yours but I had to go to ER as I was worried about fractures due to pain from breathing.

Breathing is secondary! Surfing is life!
But that looks plenty bad. Ribs are one of those things you can't mess around with. I should have gone too. I'm just bad at taking care of injuries. Case in point, I did this a couple weeks later on a different board. Broke 3. Kept riding for a couple hours, then took some vitamin m. Maybe we should start a thread for these?

I have yet to get video of my surfing because I'm always alone. Being retired I go midweek when my kids and friends are working. I have a blast with around 10 regulars who can make it at the same time. We just surf and don't worry about cameras or edits. The last time I saw someone out with a GoPro he seemed stressed about making the perfect takeoff, bottom turn and cutback. I heard him cursing to himself after he had an amazing ride and forgot to turn on his camera. The shot was more important than having fun.
