saunton is my favourite wave in the whole world!
and its not crowded at all considering it a 4 mile long beach and that crowd will stop in about 1/2 mile. the place is deserted if your willing to walk a bit.

i prefere saunton its a much more mellower wave to learn on, for quicker waves try the woolacombe to puttbrough beach. the wave are a bit more powerful and much quicker ideal for those short bords.

to drive from plymouth head towards torrington and then barnstaple then through braunton (left at the main lights) towards croyed you will see the entrance to the beach just before the saunton sands hotel. i say arround 2 hours but worth the trip

i cant wait today was a nightmare constantly droped in on apart from that had a great sesh roll on tues day looking like it could be 3ft ish with offshore winds

and thats set to continue for the next week at least... superb and solid 8-10sec period (be it a small swell) but its clean at least. Good fun to be had post Tuesday once the peek season ends.

Me.. well i'm off to Fuerte on the 7th :)
