mate thats half of it ive been so cold i couldnt grip the keys to open the car door

but to be able to go out and surf 4ft glass with noone out more than makes up for it

I'm in a 3.2 and it's November. Then again, water temps are around 63 degrees farenheit right now and my suit is completely sealed with moisture wicking "fire skin" on the torso.

Seriously, I thought the water would be cold too, but I decided to say what the heck and go for it anyway. I'm glad I did, the water is not nearly as cold as I thought, no crowds, better waves - and that's extremely important. As a beginner, you tend to surf in really crappy conditions to avoid confrontations with experienced surfers. You simply don't realize how FAST you can progress when you are surfing better waves, and that my friend happens in the winter.

your from the OC!! I'm from Rhode Island!!! You're on the west coast I'm on the Ice coast. But if i had an amazing wetsuit I might consider going in the winter, if that is not deadly where I live.
