Question - Have you actually rode a black ball beater type board ? Is your advice coming from personal experience riding those types of boards or something you read on Reddit ?
From my personal experience riding and owning black ball beater type boards, you really need the push hard with the BACK foot and sheer water off the rail/tail. To pull into to jacking 3-5 barrels the OP is talking about, you need to really slam the tail down and slot your line. Much different then trying to stay flat in white water crumbly mush.
