I think if you want to train cardio out of the water then you need to get yourself to that same out of breath state that you are in the water like when you are getting drilled by sets. So I hike up and down a hill and to train for hold downs I will go specifically to hike as fast as it takes to make me gasp for air like I do while surfing
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
