If you've got some english money, it'll go a fair bit further in NZ, and it's an easy trip to do, great waves, beautiful country etc etc. You can also get some decent stopovers on the flights, so easy enough to get a few weeks in indo or the pacific islands for not much extra cash. Seasonal work is easy enough to get too.

If you head to the south island in the winter, then you can get a job at a ski field for three or four months as well, and get to play in the snow.

well, i'm in my third summer in a row, travelling between spain and peru, and surfing as much as i can, specially when i'm in Peru, there i do not work, i just surf all day, and when i'm here in spain, i do work since life is a lot more expensive here, i live in the basque country and surf as much as possible, now that summer has finished and weather has changed(but it's not so bad yet) i'm starting to think that maybe this time i won't go back so soon, 'cuz crisis has affected us all and i might have to cut my endless summer this time and just keep working here for a bit more, but can't complain about the surfing here either, i live half hour away from mundaka and 20min from bakio and 10 from sopelana, i don't go everyday but at least 3 times a week, don't like the cold water toomuch though

Hi all,

feeling Very invigorated by all this,

Trev, im going to d exactly what you said, will pop it in the travel section and see what comes of it.

now i just need to decided if i can handle it alone, i did a few omths in thailand alone way back when but its always hardest setting out on an adventure knowing no one is there at the start.

Wow. Good for those guys with the English money. hehe. I'll settle with my country for now. I'll save up enough money hopefully. And do it maybe a couple of years from now. I'm 28 and almost running out of time. An endless summer should be on the my "List of things to do Before I die".

Good luck to those who'll be doing it. Hope to see you guys pick our spots here in your adventure. PM me if you need a guide or something.

i know i wrote before that i was gonna stop my endless summer this time :( but i was chatting with a friend the other day and i said something that made me change my mind about staying here...translated it said something like this:
"happyness is the most important thing or at least it's a good excuse to do whatever i want"
so, it made me think and i have made a decision... fck staying here in the basque country, not that i don't like it... but hell, summer is starting in peru, waves are great, i know i can make a living there, so i'm going to go back for my 4th summer in a row!!!! i don't have a specific date yet, but hopefully i'll be there for christmass... hell i'm gonna be happy!!! and if it's not what i should do because of the situation or whatever...fck.. it's a hell of a good excuse to do it!!! i wanna be happy!!! and of course surf my brains off while at it!!!! :D
