I'm on the east

I'm from Satellite beach which is about 5 min from cocoa beach and 2nd light, and about20 min from Sabastian Inslet. During hurricane season June through Nov. depending on how close they get that part of Florida gets good, especially on a north swell. First peak at Sebastian is pretty territorial 2nd and third peak would be better for a newcomer. 2nd light is also a good spot. Most of these spots are sand bottom and kind of break anywhere and everywhere. First peak at Sebastian is right next ro the jetty so it has real good rights. On a big day it throws some pretty hollow barrels. Hope that helps some.

I'm not worried because I'm Stationed in S.Korea right now but I am worried about my family. It's supposed to pass just north of cocoa beach. Which is about 5 miles north of where I lived. All I know is that Florida is gonna get smacked.

ive been surfing for 8 years. im from philadelhia, and Ive surfed the following places:

Wildwood, NJ
Ocean City, NJ
Ventnor, NJ
LBI, NJ
North Myrtle Beach, SC
Sunset Beach, NC

The best waves from the following places above would definatly be LBI because it is consistant. However, it is a more difficult break to surf because the Jettis close out the waves often and the rights are fast as hell.
