Had a nose around Grunta reef two days back at low tide... never really looked at it when I've been surfing it before but as the surf was so dire I decided to paddle over..

Interesting thing is that its a very similar setup to Shark Island.. bloody shame it doesn't break like it tho. Its mostlikly down to the swells never hitting it square.. booo.

Was 1ft solid these evening in Llangennith, sometimes saw the odd 1 or 2 2ft waves - its picking up a little bit! Tomorrow should be better from 10am - 2pm I think, shld have a solid 1-2ft :D (never been so excited about surfing small waves)

Finally the flat spell has gone for today that is. I was chuffed to see Gennith at 2-3ft clean today , little bit choppy now and then but had so much fun. Stayed out till it got too dark to see the waves coming. There was a load of other people surfing too, bbq fires on the dunes, people camping..etc .. Good night I would say.

Had a nice surf in Gennith today, was a solid 1 - 2.5 ft ,not very big but something. Bigger than I had expected anyway. Managed to catch my first proper floater on a 2ft odd wave, my timing on that 1 wave was just right. It was a really good long ride. It really made my day.

Had a nice evening surf today, swell picked up to 2-3ft clean and did have a few 4ft waves at Llangennith. Was enjoying until some asshole dropped in on me.

I was waiting out back for ages waiting for a nice big wave, when these 2 idiots (age 30ish) come paddle out by me, I see a lovely big wave coming and start going for it and one of them went for it too , and he obvioulsy saw me going for it first and knew how long I had been waiting back there. When I went to drop in off the wave he came surfing across it, so I had to hold back. What a TWAT. If I had paddled a little harder and had gone for the drop, we both would have shot right into each other which would have been messy!

Ive noticed a lot of dickheads these days who dont know the rules of surfing or care about who is around them. Its usually fat middle aged men on longboards, who cant handle the thing anyway.

Yeah was a plesent supprise to get a solid 3-4ft rolling in after 7 lastnight. (authough I'd seen it comming on the new near shore swell modles.) which are proving very usefull.

Great DK action off the rocks.. :)

Had a class high tide session at Bracklesham with only two of us in Sunday morning, 1-2ft with 3ft on the sets, but a nice high tide wave, finally starting to get to grips with the 9'2, it has taken me about a year to make the shortboard/long board transition, yesterday was the first day I really was happy with it.

Had an alright surf today at Lllangennith, 1-2ft clean. Looks like the swell has dropped off now until Friday. The weather was lovely and hot which meant the beach was FULL!
Its getting difficult to surf now because you have to paddle against hundreds of other people for the wave and then surf through everyone when you are on the wave.

I remember when Llangennith was quiet, I was living in Swansea 15 years ago and surfing was not so main stream, I went back two years ago to Llangennith and I could'nt believe the crowds. PJ must be stoked ;)

Im not a morning person lol
I usually go surfing in the evenings now, you dont get the crowds, only the people surfing. PJ always seems happy, business must be good this summer. He gave me free wetsuit shampoo yesterday.
