With such a well travelled swell the wedge didn't really produce much size as the swell seemed to burn on past and show 15-20ft on the open spots but never the less I had some fun on what did bounce on the Sunday

Baja day trip: overhead with occassional bigger set, but some head high sets in between so you did not have to wait long for a ride. There where 6 other surfers on our spot, then about 3 left. I dropped in vertically on what seemed a double overhead, not sure, but my 7ft gun fit vertically with room at the bottom and the lip curling behind me.

So after a 4 hour go-out we packed up and where headed home, and it was still going off:

Today the surf was not epic, but the surfing was. I met some friends boneyards, had it all to ourselves. Though we had some lulls, we all caught at least a dozen waves, and we all had one or two perfect ones. About shoulder high for most sets but the occassional outside overhead kept us bussy. 3 hour go out, good times!!!

had a fairly good surf yesterday. we went to rhossili in the end after seeing a guy with his board snapped in two at the first spot we looked at. went to watch for a while n decided to give it a miss. the waves at rhossili were about chest to head high n fairly clean. not too many people out either.

I just discovered how badly my 'kipper' quad holds onto a vertical face
Bit of a plummet this morning at maroubra on a small swell but a steep wave. Maybe I should have taken the thruster out...

oh good at least somebody else got owned today as well as me. ihad a really good surf too. proper long period groundswell rocked up today. there were some epic big steep waves to be had at my favourite gower beach. no one out in the morning session.

i also went to look at some of th reefs. they were insane. at least double overhread barrelling waves on some of them. loads of outer reefs breaking as well.

went out today...mistake. full on hangover, or possibly was still drunk. only 2 hours sleep and off to the surf, onshore shite. nose dived for the first time in around a year, kept falling off my board when i was sat outback and only got 4 waves in the full sesh which i barely stood up on...felt like a beginner again. to finish off i was sick when i got out of the sea

South Mission Jetty, big outside sets, some doubles. Did not catch any, just couldn't get in the right place and was undergunned, but did catch some big 9ft faces, at least overhead and a half. Just ordered a semi-gun from my shaper, could have used it today. The gems where the overhead peelers that where super long rides on big fat lips, really fast.

Not crowded, though I heard Scripps and Sunset had lots of surfers out

I surfed southside in OB this morning was fun a little bit thick and ficklle but got some good rides. Then almost immedietly went out to the cliffs and caught some screaming rights with that negative tide pulling in the waves were very peaky. A tad inconsistant and shifty but if you were pitted right you would get so much speed off takeoff. Was uncrowded where i was surfing only 5-8 guys out and waves were hitting 6ft+ the set waves had a very steep face maybe in the arena of 8ft+ a few outsiders just washed us all to pieces. The takeoff was tricky and fast.

However i came with an inch of my life took a set wave bomb probably one of the biggest sets of the day and had a exceptionally long ride i kinda got carried away and when i got waaay inside the reef just sucked out and went dry. I stomped on my tail and flicked it while diving over the exposed rockes into the closeout tube. Ended up getting worked on the reef bouncing off the rocks and all sorts. No damage to me or board which is amazing considering the beating i took and i suspect the board took as well

Where did you end up surfing? Pescadero or Osprey? I almost cruised there first...

im not fond of peskies as a break so i rarely surf it. I scoped out osprey but ended up going to the breaks past abs (the one i mentioned in the one pm i sent you  ) I was hoping to get some tube action saw a guy get fully pitted at newbreak but to be honest i was too scared to take it in that close after the affore mentioned incident

Fingers crossed we still get waves the coming week
