Wetsuit Opinions: Cell or Psycho II?

Postby Sneakytermite » Thu Jun 03, 2004 1:50 am

If anyone has any experience with the Cell or Psycho II wetsuit, please tell me your experience with it. I can get the Cell Hyperstretch for $250 and the Psycho II for $240. I just want to know of other's opinions of them.

Thanks.

I have a cell 4/3 and it's pretty good - comfy and quite warm. It does suffer from a little wash down the neck so it would not be an ideal suit for really cold water. Don't know about the Psycho.

i have the oniell heat 5/3 im very impressed with it and will either get a physcho or custom next.

I think wetsuits i pretty much of a much its the fit that counts. The physcho has got the welded seams which should last longer than your standard taped and glued. im not sure about the cell suit i dont know if they have made it over to england yet

I have also got a custom Snugg 5/3 winter suit and it is superb. It gets me nicely through a midwinter English session with ease , is really warm and comfortable and I would buy one again for cold water surfing.

Psych II 3/2

Postby Sneakytermite » Sat Sep 18, 2004 9:00 am

I decided to go with the Psycho II at the Frog House. Luke was true to his words when he offered me the suit for $240 out-the-door. I don't know the other guy (about 5'4 with short blond hair), but he was giving me a hard time. If you go to the Frog House at Newport Beach, CA, try to talk to Luke. He's willing to help you out.

As for the Psycho II, I love it after three months of having it. I can't compare it to anything else because it is my first wetsuit. But it keeps me comfortable and warm in the water of Huntington Beach, CA. It seems to be durable and easy to clean after every use.

I talked to other surfers and they said that the Cell wears out very quickly. Most prefers the Psycho II because it lasts longer and it's more comfortable.

I hope this help someone who is looking for a suit.

P.S. I haven't surf in four weeks because of a sprained right ankle. But the moment I feel good... Well, you know what happens next.

meh just buy used wetsuits over and over. don't waist your money on brand new suits. used ones can last ya a very long time. I used a used wet suit for 4 months in 40 degree water and I was fine. it was a 3,2. It could get chilly at times but meh if your stoked you can surf a good 3 hours.

mwahahahaha I love my florida water though.
