Boscastle

I was surfing Westward Ho recently and there was a notice saying something about not going 100yards either side of the slipway 'cause of stuff washed up from the Boscastle flood...when we walked down there were freezers on the pebble-ridge and we found strip-lighting floating around in the line-up, not to mention tonnes of shoes on the tide-line.
This was glass strip lighting so we gave it to the lifeguards. Surely this has got to be pretty dangerous for the tourists/locals?
Has anybody experienced any other rubbish on their local beach? I heard Woolacombe was getting its fair share a few days ago?
