I just started to shape my first board and when I was using the electric planer my shirt got caught. When I was trying to get it out I sliced my finger. Does anyone know how to get the shirt out?

There are a few types of planers, the cutter should be able to come out for sharpening, if you have the instructions book it should tell you how to dismantle the cutter.

Just watch out for sharp edges !

Get the multi tool out all planers come apart one way or another.
