A question about sponging

Postby Stone Fox » Thu Feb 15, 2007 6:57 pm

I'm gonna try bodyboarding tommorow, quick question - how hard is it without swim fins?

And could I use full size fins? I have diving fins.

I may even have an old pair I could trim.

Always see boogers without fins in trouble with rips etc.

Never done it myself so cant say but big fins & surf probably dont go together?

You'll find it hard to get propper control into waves and paddling into waves on the outside as there is so much drag. Once your moving you'll fair ok.

basics are easy but doin it with style is hard let along all the technicals.

don't use scubas... they are way too big and way to soft. even when trimmed down. but I suppose if you cut em down its better than nothing.

Bodyboarding without fins is like paddling a boat without oars.

Like papa said you will not have the same control and paddling will be an absolute henry without em.
