boards

I am new to this web site and I want to say Hi to everyone. I do have a question. I have built a 1967 manx clone dune buggy and I have purchased a ney 6ft 4 short board and I want to display the board on top of my dune buggy at some local car shows. What I would like to know is is there anyone that knows how people carried surfboards on top back in the 60's. I want it to look just like they did it back then. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
