getting hit by your board

I'm an absolute begginer, just bought my bored

Now i've read this post i'm scared to death.
Do they hit you often or just very occasionally?

i guess you wouldnt want see what state my foot is in But thats a different story.

In general as long as you take care when bailing(if you can) then you should be fine all my injuries are mainly stupidity that caused em. Dont sweat it though eventually you will get banged just a matter of time thats probably not comforting but at least u know what to expect

it probably depends on where you're surfing. ive only been hit hard once. i wiped out and the board went behind me then promptly got thrown fins first into my head. somehow got away without geting hurt after that one.

i was scared of getting hit by my board the other week at perranporth. i wiped out and my board flew up in the air. much to the amusment of phil and dbbb.

they are the only times i can remember being clobbered or thinking im going to be clobbered. so it doesnt happen all the frequently. if you wipe out and your board is between you and the wave then get your hands over your head to try and avoid injury.

In proper beginner surf, as long as you aren't pearling, you should never end up getting hit by your board.

If you pearl, just roll to a ball until the wave is past you then come up with your hands above your head just in case your board is right above you.
