I buy Surfers Path and Carve mainly. Surfers Path is bi-monthly, has great pictures in it and I like the articles but I wouldnt say it has many pictures of women. Carve I buy when I see an article I particularly want to read when fingering through it at the newsagents. It's quite good, has a few more women shots usually hehe

surf mags

Postby tommy » Tue Jul 04, 2006 7:39 pm

A lot depends on your age - the younger folks (15-25) seem to go for Surfer or Surfing, wheretas us geezers (30+) like Surfers Path, and The Surfers Journal, the flagship of quality surfing mags (my opinion). For babes, Surfing and Surfer.

Usually carve or surfers path....anything that i can get my hands in this small small town

Isnt there a magazine out there called Surfers Journal? An independant magazine only comes out a few times a year and is pretty expensive...i saw a copy of one of there issues and it looks amazing the photography is spot on....shame you cant get it ANYWHERE though.

Does anyone know what im on about?

Yes! The Surfers Journal is the highest quality surf mag out there, catering to historical, culture, and travel. It's simply the best, although Surfer's Path is a close second (my opinion). I suspect you can get it - google it & find out. And yes, it's not cheap.

I prefer Surfer's Path for some reason, but if I'm standing around or browsing in WH Smith, I would buy Carve or Surfer or whatever there is really. And if I'm in a shop that sells Pitpilot, I might buy that too.

Oh and anyone that gives a free DVD!

Out of interest, does anyone have any idea how to get hold of a copy of Surfers Journal in the UK?

I always used to like Tracks, and in the UK Carve - I have no idea if carve is still going as I don't tend to buy mags anymore....
