Dont think we'll ever see 18ft at 16secs with a gentle offshore at saunton! :shock:

id take 3-4 ft and messy than nothing at all

i dont think any break around here could hold 18ft @ 16 secs apart from maybe oysters

You'll be surprised how a beach break can hold up in big surf. It naturally forms its own sand bars farther out, and spreads sand over a longer area!

(Only know this because my local break is dead flat for 7 months, then overhead the next day..)
