Possible knee pop-up with shorboard??

Postby javisurf » Fri Jun 23, 2006 8:55 am

Hi all!!

Im actually surfing with a 7'0'' evolutive and im still popping-up using the knee

I want to start with a shortboard (a 6'6 for my 84 Kg? ) and i wanna know if
i have to enhance my popping up to do it in one movement before getting the
new board or i can learn it after getting it.

What do you think?

Thx all!

stick with 7.0 as you"ll just make it harder for yourself ,how long have you been surfing.
If your not at the stage of being able to bottom turn or ride the face then your just wasting your time and money.

Good luck

I'd say learn how to do it properly on the board you've got.

Shorter boards require more precision; it's going to have to be very fluid and a lot faster. (no knees alowed)
