three surfboards, 30 or so skimboards, and around 10-15 skateboards, just keeping the same count for everything because it's easier.

Dark tints are hard to get even, the easiest is yellow, and the hardest being red and purple, I'm sure your shaper has some experience with it though and can help you out picking a color. Pinlines are also hard if you've never done them before, I still can't do them, even after trying on every other board, so you might just want to do a spray or something instead.

here's surfboard #2, shaped as #19 and finished the same time as skateboad 47.

ahh....pushed the quit button instead of the window close.....

anyways, looks good DF. you use resin research right? What squeeges do you use?

Yeah, I've had a bunch of issues pinlining also...it ain't easy, but whatever. He didn't mean tint like I think of it either. He meant doing an opaque "tint" with pigment. So whatever you wanna call that. I still wanna do the swirl, so I'm ordering some pigment and giving it a try on some scrap.

Today I did the rail bands and sanded. I did a whole bunch of prototype rail designs on graph paper, and then found one I liked. Then I made the measurements and connected the lines forming rail bands. Then I sanded all together. They turned out really boxy, but it's better than being too thin. I might take them down a bit, but for now I'm leaving them the way they are.

so here some pictures. guy in the blue shirt is Chris, he's shaping with me, and the guy in the yellow is Travis, he's the shaper that's graciously teaching us.

oh yeah, if something just looks wrong, the stringer is skewed a decent amount. It's driving me crazy......
