Hola
Crossed the border into peru safely and headed to Mancora on the coast. What an AWESOME place. The waves break on a point-reef and its a really good left hander.
The weather here is perfect, it has its own micro climate and is sunny 365 days a year. It was hot, so the tan came a long a bit!!! Loads of surfer girls around as well which was a bonus, i dunno what it is but the whole surfboard thing really does it for me!
Anyway, found the surf pretty difficult, first time i had tried anything other than a beachbreak and getting the right take off point is a skill im still learning. The locals where pretty friendly though and really helped out. I tell you what though, its amazing being able to paddle out just in board shorts. Sitting in the line-up watching the peruvian sunset while everyone else is back home working.... puts it in perspective ey!
The locals here are amazing though... seriously good. I definitely need to stay by a break for a consistent period to really improve my surfing.. which i am hoping to do in brazil. At the moment i have so much other stuff i want to do as well. Like i am in ICA at the moment, sandboarding out on desert dunes and going in mad dune buggy rides. It's cool.
Anyway catch you all later, better get back in our buggy, we are crusing round the city at 11pm at night in the beast, getting funny looks from the locals! Lol
