Stupid Tourists in Hawaii

ive never been to a luau and havent been snorkeling in almost 10 years.
snorkeling is fun though.

but luaus and hula are tourist thing., those were once native hawaiian things, but the white man came over and stole their land, and prostituted their culture off to the tourist industry. horray.

this is exactly what i was talking about when I started this thread. I realize that I am not a native hawaiian, but I also have a lot of respect for the people and their beautiful beaches that are becoming congested with tourists. my point was that I could have a glimpse into where they were coming from having visited hawaii for many years now.

Here at Bondi, the tourists probably outnumber the locals 5:1. Sorry, but since I moved here in February to study, I guess that kind of makes me a tourist. I don't see the big deal, as long as people just use some common sense. I mean, I get pissed off too when someone paddles out and just sits about 15 feet in front of me, waiting for a wave, forcing me to paddle off to the side. Put simply, use common sense, and don't be a jacka**.

plus oahu has like 900,000 residents. no wonder its so crowded
