Tyler Confirms UK Visit

Star of surf flick Singlefin:Yellow and legendary board builder Tyler has confirmed a second visit to the UK which will be at the end of April/early May 2006. He will be travelling with his beautiful wife Katherine and his trusty sidekick Mike.

Tyler will also be running a series of free traditional board riding masterclasses in North Devon and Cornwall for those looking to take some tips from one of the world's best. The classes will include board-riding techniques such as drop-knee turns & noseriding as well as discussions on the design of traditional boards. Attendees will also get the chance to paddle out with Tyler and get some real hands-on pointers (waves permitting!). The classes are free but places will be limited so pre-registration is advised.

Not only is Tyler a master craftsman, arguably hand-making the very best traditional surfboards on the market, but he is also generally acknowledged as being one of the very best longboarders in the world. His best friend Mike, also a great surfer, is generally acknowledged as being one of the best Bar-B-Q’ers in the world. All in all a recipe for a great few days down in Barnstaple.

In addition to spending time in the South West, Tyler will also be visiting London to meet with the newly formed City Surfer’s club - an ever-increasing band of land-locked surfers that make the pilgrimage to the coast at every available opportunity.
