Hi, i'll try to help if I can. So this is your second board ? It really depends on what you want to do and how good you are right now. I started on a 7"3 mini mal pop out (bic) and after so many months of practicing the basics on it, i bought a 6"10 funboard.
I bought the funboard because I have always been keen on them - new evolution boards that paddle and catch waves like a longboard and turn and manoeuvre like a shortboard - to me its perfect, thought I could progress more on this board.

What board have you learnt on and what nsp boards are you thinking of getting?

Hi. Thanks for your advice so far. I learned on a 6" shortboard when i was a bit younger (11) then I went to a bic mini mal when I was 14, Im 15 now. I would say i am an advanced beginner and I ride overhead waves on the north coast of Ireland. I dont know what NSP to get, either the 6"6 shortboard or 6"8 funboard.

THanks. Niall,.

right ok, so you are 15 and have surfed for a while. Are you certain you want an nsp board? This would then be your third popout board and in my opinion I dont think there would be a lot of difference with the nsp boards you are thinking of getting with the mini mal bic youve already got.

I read somewhere that the nsp shortboards wern't very good or recommended to use. I havent tried the nsp shortboard so I wouldnt be certain. I think if you are advancing and want to improve id get something like a 6"6 - 6"10 custom board (shortboard or funboard - depending on preference of surfing). I woulnt keep buying poputs, get a real stick that will make you better.

what exactly is a pop out? and I want an NSP as it is very durable and cheap. I dont own the bic mini mal which is why i am getting a new board, I jst rent out the bic when i surf (i only go once a week or every two weeks as i live a good bit from the coast) Do u know if their is much difference between bics and nsps?
