Stand up surfer

I'm starting to change my mind about SUPs.

Last sesh at my beach break the waves were 3-4 feet with multiple shifting peaks. Those of us who were sitting at our favorite sandbar waited...and waited for sets to arrive. One SUP rider took full advantage of the conditions by ranging outside, inside, left and right to catch waves we could only dream of making. Not only was he great at hunting peaks, he was also a skilled surfer. When it was choppy he paddled on his knees then popped up after making the wave. He had a solid bottom turn, cross stepped to stay in trim and even made a few cutbacks! There was never a problem with etiquette because he never stayed in one spot too long and kicked out before any conflicts.

Not going to get a standup board but it was fun to see one ridden well.
