Think it's worth having in the stable?

Only been surfing for about 3 months. My current modest quiver is a 9' foamie and a Walden superwide magic 7'4. I love them both for different reasons.
I surf a small mushy shore break, with occasional good days. Sometimes even big days but not a lot. With that in mind in thinking this little floaty board might allow me to be able to make some good turns when the waves aren't giving me much power or long rides.

Between that and price, is this worth buying or am I better off sticking with just the two I have? Opinions welcome

I suspect you will fall off within 1 second on 9/10 waves you manage to catch for quite a while. Small boards are very squirty and unstable - more than you imagine esp if you are used to a 9ft and a Walden (both very stable boards). Plus they aren’t really boards for mushy waves, they are boards for low tide close outs where it’s steep and fast. It requires a bit of power or self generated power, again the latter probably something you have yet to learn to do (because you don’t need to do it with your boards)

If you wanted to try it out I guess it’s not overly expensive. But I would suggest ideally waiting for a 6’6 version at least

That’s a great price on a skipper, but I agree with dtc, it’s too small. I’ve been surfing for two years, 3-5 times a week, and I have a 6’0” and it’s a dodgy little board. I have a couple short boards in the same size range and the skipper is by no means a floaty magic bullet, it’s actually a little weird. I’d look for a 7’ foamie to step into a more short board feel to start.
