surfboard dilema, advice please

Hey guys,

I have recently bought a couple of new boards to have a bit of a change around and the plan was to sell a couple of my older ones.
I absolutely love one of the boards I bought, a Hurricane lil ninja, 5'8 - 20 1/2 - 2 1/2 - 32lt, its EPS Eproxy which is why its higher volume and such a fun board on small waves, so easy to catch waves and throw around, this will be my main go to board I think but on larger waves it does slip out a bit although I have yet to try it with a quad setup which might help.

I got at the same time a second board with the idea of using it when the waves are a bit bigger, which is a:
Spider Hydro X 6'1 - 19 x 2 1/2 - 31.3lt, although the volume is similar it is of course a different animal, haven't had chance to really test this board yet in any decent waves but it is certainly narrower than the others i have,

My plan was to sell my:
Hurricane KO - 6'0 x 21 x 2 1/2 - 35.9ltr but I feel so comfortable on this board so would you not say this is the best board to keep for when the waves get bigger? When I say bigger for me thats anything above head height.

So after the long email my main questions is this:
Because the KO is quite wide and low rocker doesn't this also mean it will also slip out and when the waves get a bit bigger you're meant to use a board with a more narrow nose and tail?
I guess it depends on the waves too.

I would say I am just going into intermediate level.
I know your advice might just be to try them but we haven't had a big day here for a while.

You own it......don't sell a board you like. Keep it and try it.

That's a DIAMOND tail not a SWALLOW tail.

The KO on the other hand DOES have a SWALLOW tail, which you usually see on small wave and Fish boards. But if you can ride over-head waves, it can also.

What fins are you using on the Lil Ninja ? On the KO ?

I did want to sell one to get a bit of cash back, but maybe keeping them all is a good idea too
I just didn't want boards that are too similar, I saw the ninja for small wave and maybe the spider for bigger stuff, which led me to think where the KO would fit in, but I guess it will handle complete different from the other two and just a nice change, I used it once on overhead surf but to be honest I wasn't trying to do anything fancy, just down the line trying not to die, ok that might be an exaggeration but for my first big waves it felt like that.
Fins are thrusters, Futures Thermotech F6, which I use for the ninja and KO, I have not really played around with fins at all yet, bigger fins are for bigger surf?
The guy at Hurricane did recommend to try a Quad setup at some point on the ninja.

Try different boards and different fin setups and sizes in different conditions. There are baseline recommendations to follow, beyond that is up to you. The board, especially the tail shape, bottom contours and how the board was designed can help you in the right direction as well as how big you are; all these variables interplay but honestly at your stage don't worry about it too much, set up as a thruster and learn how that feels.
