right board?

i havent posted in a while, but i just got back from an entire week of surfing. in the beginning of the week we had average summer va beach waves (nothing great)and i couldnt them up because i couldnt paddle fast enough. i had been thinking for a while that i have out grown my board, so i went to wrv, and sure enough my 6'3" tall 2" thick thruster was not nearly enough for me(i weigh 170, 5'11" tall), although i can still get the better shaped big waves. i found a board at a local shop, made by seven. its a 6'7" fat boy shortboard. i think its like 2&15/16ths thick. would this be good for me?

by the way, what have they done to surfline to screw up the cams?
