Kumai?

What does kumai mean I see people putting it at the bottom of there posts I'm new just created an account so I don't really know this stuff

There is a hawaiian tradition of surfing to summon waves. It invovles usually slapping the water with a particular type of vine and then placing it on the beach in a very secret manner while chanting "kumai" three times in a row.
