hawaii

Alright, the thing is I am moving to the island of Molaka'i in Hawaii. I am leaving about September and staying for roughly 6 months and if we like it we will stay (we will probably stay). I really, really want to surf and I want to know what I can do before i go to help me learn. I heard that snowboarding helps, and I am extremely good at snowboarding. thx

Snowboarding will help with the standing up part of surfing, but most of your time in the water will be spent paddling, so I would suggest swimming (front crawl) as much as possible.
