Some buds and I are going to book passage for March of next year.

Anyone gone before? Any tips? I think we are staying at Playa Colorado or near there.

Hey IB, you are in the wrong area, should have posted in the travel forum.
Been to Nica many times, good waves, a litle rough on getting around. You are probably staying at one of the many American-owned surfcamps to get access to the waves.
Popoyo is worth getting too.

Day 3: Beat predicted and actual surf day, triple go out. Playa Colorado has a break called panga drops, double overhead fun from 6am to 9am, got out for breakfast then loaded up the car and drove to world famous Popoyo, awesome there too, big A-frames that you could rise either left or right. Had fish lunch at a local eatery then back at 4pm and hit the local wave again till sun down . Awesome day
