thats actually a good question.

i would probably go for the foam, cause then if i got bored and hated it, and i was gonna get a new board, i would probably shape it into a shortboard or somethin

id say a bic because theyre harder to damage so you can sell em on for a better price-buy a nice new board.

I have recently purchased a bic 7'6" performer and its amazin it is easy to paddle, and u can catch even the smallest waves on it, and its not too difficult to get verticle. The onli criticism i have about bic's are that the vinyls are stuck on over the finnish so they are not protected and peel off easily, however this problem was easily sorted by outlining the vinyls with surf wax. bic have my vote!!!
