I remember many of the Hawaiians could not get outside. Many got pounded at the first sandbar. "where's da channel" they asked, There ain't no stinkin channel bruddah! Follow a Texan and try to keep up!!!!

Pretty funny quote from some guy that surfed there.
Tom Curren surfed in that contest too.

Yeah, the surf that day im pretty sure is the first time texas' surf has been mentioned in the same sentence as sunset beach. Tom curren said that the surf that day felt just like sunset beach. I REALLY need some surf like that right now...
