surfboard hit my jawww.. do i need a dentist?

Postby TReMoR » Mon Oct 06, 2008 11:10 pm

so.. today i was surfing and my surfboard slammed into my jaw. my mouth closed really hard and my front two bottom teeth are in quite a lot of pain :( There wasnt really any bleeding.. nothing noticible.... my tooth are still firm in place but it is really painful when the front two teeth touch anything. The backside of the teeth, around the gums are a little bit black? I checked web MD's symptom checker and it said trauma.... will it get better as time passes? because trying to eat is like torture!!

I'd go see a dentist myself - Even though your teeth are in place, if there's blackening around your gums I'd get it checked out... There's probably nothing wrong, but at the very least you can get some reassurance, and maybe some sort of anaesthetic to help the pain.

they put some splint on it.. and i cant eat solid things for a while.. and IT BETTER HEAL!!. :x

lol.. that was so lame.. the dentist at first was like.. its gonna be ok.. and then he was touching it while i was in pain.. haha. and then he was like.. OH NO! ... and i was like..??!? and then the nurse was like its amazing that you dont feel any pain?!?!?! except i was feeling pain i just cant yell while my mouth is being held open.. haha -__-
but im glad that i didnt try to wait it out like i had originally planned. It hurt SOOOO much while eating dinner that i had to tell my mom :(

aww man that sucks. Guess you gotta resort to soups and shakes. I had a similar incident as well but wasn't as painful. My board hit my in the mouth after a duckdive, since I underestimated the wave's power  .

My cousin had replaced missing teeth with dental implants and now she had pain in upper jaw. She is now very afraid to visit dentist. I recommend her to visit dentist redondo beach to get rid of pain.

Bloody hell, it's not the ToothFairy it's the tooth troll

Fangs very munch

Wonder if the TT (tooth troll) noticed the post was three years old?

Since the forum has a discriminator to stop computer generated spam, I wonder if there are cubicles of paid seek and deploy trolls searching through forums to plug things at opportune moments?

A dentist should be chosen according to his experience and qualities. Can anyone suggest me a dentist in LA?
