Its 7.1 deg C and just about as unappealing as water can be - and I'm going to surf it later today :D !

and what really takes the piss is i can see the sea from my window just its a rubbish each for surfing and i live 30 mins away from some great places to surf :evil:

hey brooster, where you hoping to surf today too?

Gorleston at about 17:00ish - should be ok, I checked it at 13:30 and 4 surfers in water. It was about 2 ft clean but windy and when the tide comes in later it will build.

Yes, the picture is updating - it's different than the original. Must be a webcam. Here is the pic at the time of this post - it's way more nasty than the original. Look at that shoredump. Nice

Yes got in down the coast at Gorleston which has much more shelter from wind but waves smaller too - 3ft ish.
I didn't realise but the picture I originally posted does update each minute as it is, as SP said, a webcam. But if you compare the size of the buildings on the pier to the waves size you can aprreciate it was quite a big swell for us here - maybe 8-10ft?!
