Questions for surfers :p

Postby danyal96 » Fri Sep 24, 2010 9:37 am

Hey guys, I have a project for design technology in school to make a bottle opener and for my target market, I chose people who enjoy the beach, surfing etc. I have compiled a list of questions for anyone who enjoys these things to answer about what they look for in a product like this.

1. What unique selling point would you be most looking for? By unique selling point, I mean something like a funky design or possibly a unique way to attach it to your shorts etc.
2. Do you mostly look at ergonomics (how the product interacts with the 5 senses, ie. how it feels in your hand), durability or design gimmick?
3. What stores would you go to, to buy a product like a bottle opener?
4. In what situation and where would you most likely need a bottle opener for?
5. What do you think bottle openers should have that they currently don't have as a standard?

I would really appreciate it if you could take the time to answer these few questions as it would really help my grade :)

P.S. Sorry if this type of thing isn't allowed in a surfing forum but I personally don't know any surfers so as I said, this would be of great help.

Surfing board really A big help for us when we The typhoon Arrives.
flash floods really big and surfers in our town use their surf board to save some life.
I do admire those surfers who are really willing to offer their lives to save some other people
