How far do you live from the beach.

30 minute drive

I'm going backwards. 6 years ago it was 3 minute walk to the beach I could see from my living room and 10 minute walk to a better beach around the corner.

Then it went to 3 minute drive when I moved to another beach suburb.

I moved again last year and now it's about 10 minute drive. I dread going any further out as I find I surf less. It makes a big difference when you can see the ocean with your own eyes rather than a web cam. You catch those rare windows were the surf is good on a bad day.

Now a quick check on a bad day means you've wasted half an hour , I'm spoilt yeah but I'm married now, so I can't go whenever I want, so picking the right time is important.

Oh.... and in terms of work, I've stuck with the same company for 6 years and seen everyone else leave for better jobs, only because it's close to home and close to the beach, so I can go before or after work..... it's a lifestyle choice. I don't want to work in the city and have to commute for an hour each way. I dread the day this place goes bust and I have to find a new place.

an hour or so to Huntington in California to an hour and a half to San Onofre or San Clemente

Live about 1.5 hours away from mush and 2.5 from anything of any real use... miss the days of being 10 mins from the beach....

2 Miles from ala Moana and I rock a moped so if I have to get in and out before or after work I can use sidewalks, bike paths etc and park wherever theres a pole to lock it to.. 1 hour from the North shore.

About 10 minute drive to my local break. It's just under 3 miles I think.

5 1/2 hours I live in brighton (cant surf here). And I only just started surfing. Gonna spend so much on petrol and accomodation in cornwall :( fml
