most waterproof ones are ok as long as you leave it be when youre in the water and dont rub your face (or where ever it is) but after a while its good to get out and re apply. glad to see we've got some sun to get burnt by...

Bullfrog works. Just don't get it in your eyes! I was practically binded by this stuff one sunny day.

I used Coppertone 70 SPF spray on today. Easy application, sprays from any angle. A little greasy, but I guess that helps it with its water resistance :)
Of course this was after going out yesterday and forgetting sunblock. I got fried.

Ambre Solaire [say this next bit really quickly in a French accent ...} " by laboratoire Garnier ".

Worked for me for a couple of hours per dose :P

[ thing with lotions for surf use is, your hands get slippy and slide off the board during duckdiving so be warned  ! ]

I've been using Surfers Skin for years, imported from New Zealand, but now I see its in Europe woop woop!!! Its also a good price now I don't have to pay for shipping from overseas so even better.

make sure you don't get into the water for 15-20 minutes after you apply. if you get in too quick it'll just wash off. gotta let it 'soak' into the skin

I bought some Head Hunter Face Stick my last surf trip after always getting too much sun on my face. It was bullet proof. It worked so well it was actually hard to get off at the end of a session. I can't help but rub my face and this stuff held up really well.
