I think it's a matter of taste really. I personally dig things like the X Games, skateboarding half pipes, snowboarding half pipes, etc, and this is just reminiscent of that. Honestly it's awesome being able to do that kind of move on a wave!

But Solid tubes are awesome too in their own way :)

comparing surfing moves to skateboarding / snowboarding is mad - a half pipe doesnt move lol its the same thing every time. No simularities at all

not the first time I saw a vid of this trick... they're around for some time but this is def the one with the best quality and style.
