He's better than me

Postby Beachbum » Tue Sep 02, 2008 6:41 am

Someone I know keeps bringing up this issue that a friend of mine surfs better than me. I know I'm not the best but the way he says it sounds cocky . Any tips on how to shut this person up because he doesn't surf and it becomes annoying. I surf to have fun and if a friend of mine does shred harder than me, why should it matter, right? :?

If you're having fun, who cares if someone else surfs better than you.

Everyone surfs better than me, but nobody is more stoked than me, so it's all good.

reel of a list of all the pro's and point out they surf better than you too

tell this person that you're better than them at surfing, if he goes on you could say....'why dont you give it a try? - ya chicken?'

do a big yawn, roll your eyes and say 'bore me later mate'.

be really grown up and say.....'oooh you always go on about how great they are at surfing! are you in luurve' and then start the '....sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G' song.

all very grown up options im sure you will agree  its all i can think of right now.

if you're having fun then you're doing exactly what you're sposed to be doing!

Stab him, or bash his head in with a hammer.

Just say 'yeah he is good, I wish I could do that - perhaps he is showing off to you ?'
Then kiss him on the cheek, grab his arse and get in the water and have some fun goddamit !

lol - ignore him/them - 'sz just getting on your case on purpose.

Having fun is the key....but if he is a cock knuckle about his talent, take a crap just up current from him and then paddle away laughing.

**Note** crapping up current only works if you are not wearing a wetsuit..DUH! :bang:

Stop sucking and learn some moves.

:D

Ignor the fool or drag him out for a surf, offer him an ultimatum, he has 1 hour on a board and catches a wave or shuts the fleshin' up.

OK so your mutual friend is better than you, but...

...If he doesn't surf, then surely, by default, you are better than him!
